5. Altra Torin 4.5 Plush

Those who know, know; once you’ve experienced these, you’ll “get it.” Unlike anything else on the market, Altra have carved out a growing niche among people who have sore feet. They are shaped like your foot. Imagine you put your foot on a piece of paper and trace around the outside of it– that’s the shape of the sole! Also, the level cushioning from heel-to-toe is unique. That means the shoe keeps your heel and forefoot the same height off the ground which helps keep a person’s hips in a more aligned position. In short: curved sole + low drop = your hips go forward. Hips forward = less anterior tilt = using your glutes more when you walk and run.
