THE ASICS SHOE YOU NEVER KNEW April 15, 2015 15:00

Have you heard of this Asics Running Shoe?

This Thursday, April 16th, test out a pair of ASICS Running Shoes at our 6:30 PM Group Run. We especially recommend testing out one of the newer ASICS shoes that you may never have heard of: the Gel-Pursue.

GEL-Pursue™

Voted best debut shoe in 2014 by Runner's World, the ASICS Gel-Pursue is designed for the neutral runner who desires a more responsive, smooth ride and superior comfort. The shoe is designed to hug the foot while the midsole allows runners to hug the road. Built on same frame as a global best-seller (GT-2000 3), the Gel-Pursue is a good running shoe for those who may be neutral but at the end of their run experience fatigue that leads to over-pronating. Also for those currently in a stability shoe who want to try neutral running, the Gel-Pursue is a good transition shoe to test out.

The staff at St. Pete Running Company has found this shoe to be a customer favorite. We hope you'll join us for the ASICS Test Run this Thursday.

Asics Running Shoes are always at St. Pete Running Company

We have several ASICS Running Shoes in store, so you can come in anytime to try on a pair and see how your feet feel in a Gel-Pursue, Nimbus, or any of the other ASICS that we carry.

LEARN HOW TO RUNSAFER WITH TODD WILLIAMS April 08, 2015 14:30

RunSafer Class

WHEN: Thursday, April 16th from 7:15 - 8:15 PM (after Group Run)

WHERE: St. Pete Running Company

COST: $10 per person

Two-Time Olympic Distance Runner and Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Todd Williams has created RunSafer to help all individuals become safer if they ever find themselves in an environment that may warrant self defense training.

Time after time we read headlines about how individuals are assaulted or attacked while out on their run, being bullied at school, or going to or coming back from their workout.

This one hour session will teach you safety techniques and tips to help protect yourself in a dangerous situation.

An assault occurs at least once every two minutes! Whether you're a runner, avid athlete, or just enjoy a walk in the park, St. Pete Running Company wants you to have this opportunity to learn valuable safety tips and ways to escape dangerous situations.

RunSafer is here NOT to turn you into a pro fighter but to give you some self defense tools to possibly save you if a situation ever occurs.

Their motto: BE PREPARED!

A few words from Todd himself:
